Puerto Barú’s Estimated US$250–260 Million Port Project Gains Legal Support

On 27 October, Newsroom Panama reported that the Supreme Court upheld the environmental approval for the proposed Puerto Barú port in Chiriquí, a private project estimated at US$250–260 million. The port is intended to improve trade access for regional agriculture, exports and logistics, but the estimate is for the overall development rather than a newly awarded supply-chain contract; exporters, manufacturers and logistics operators can explore inventory optimisation, shipment forecasting and supply-chain analytics, while HPC can support industrial data processing.
